Strengths: Shop prices for these things are cheap, They will last most riders a lifetime (with a couple of new chainrings)Weaknesses: Heavy, Pretty wide, Heavy, HeavyBottom Line: Tough, Heavy.
I'm a cycle courier, have managed to snap Deore cranks, and 2 other no name sets. (and yes, they were installed properly)
Got a set of these, so I can have big roadie chaingrings, have covered 25000k approx over the last year, and theyre still running strong, gone through 3 chains and havent had to replace a chainring yet.
The bolts to the BB do need tightening every few thousand k's, but thats par for the course,
Favorite Ride: City Chaos
Purchased At: Shouldnt really say
Similar Products Used: Deore, No-name, XTR, Campag Chorus (on my roadie)
Bike Setup: 2 Speed rigid MTB (2 speed on the front, single on the back), These cranks are my only roadie gear on this ride
