Strengths:    Stiffness, durability

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
I purchased the Ultegra 6503 crankset new from Ebay. I got a great deal at just $60.00 Came sealed in package. Had to replace the Truvativ Elita that came on my Jamis Coda Comp. Constantly dropped the chain with the Truvativ when changing to the smallest chainring. Then, out of the blue, my middle chainring started to drop the chain. Had the LBS look at it and discovered it had a bent tooth. I have never crashed my bike and I rarely use the middle chainring...So, how did this tooth get bent? That's when I decided to purchase a bombproof chainring. The Ultegra triple has been perfect. I noticed immediately how much stiffer the crank arms are and I have yet to drop a chain switching to the smallest chainring. It's been two years with this crankset with absolute flawless performance.

Strengths:    good, accurate shifts, even back and forth onto the granny. shifting down to the granny might require you to go down a couple of cogs in the rear...shifting from middle to granny while on the biggest cog is a great way to drop your chain. long lasting.

Weaknesses:    would always like lighter weight.

Bottom Line:
came with 2000 model bike. been great...reliable, good service, good value. have about 14,000 miles on the bike. changed the 52 and 42 chainrings once, never changed the 30 because it is hardly ever used.
