Product Description

The most technological groupset for racing bicycles. The Campagnolo Record groupset is incomparable and a glance will tell you why. But the Campagnolo Record groupset does not just have outstanding esthetic appeal. It contains an unprecedented concentration of technology. The use of the technology of composite materials enables components with reduced weight and greater mechanical resistance to be obtained.
Not to mention the flexible design and solutions reached that would be impossible with aluminum. The materials have been chosen and specially made for each single component.

Strengths:    Smooth shifting. Great look.

Weaknesses:    A little spendy, but if it fits your budget why not?

Bottom Line:
Purchased the CT version from Jay at Hollywood Cycles in MN. Great shop. Put on Merlin Cyrene frame with Eurus wheels.

I mainly ride for conditioning, with some road races and tris thrown in for fun.

Switched from a Chorus triple. Hills are no problem. Sweet and smooth as far a shifting goes.

Strengths:    They shift quickly, lightly and intuitively. Anyone who has problems with Campy shifting needs a better mechanic.
I just slapped my components on the frame, set the limits, tightened the cables and went for a ride. I stopped twice to adjust the shifting and haven't touched them in 8 months and 2600KM's. The brakes are the easiest things to install and adjust ever. The feel is very precise and luxurious. I still have Ultegra 9 which I liked, and worked well for me, but I rode my old bike last week for the first time since last year and couldn't get over how primitive it felt.
Now with DA 10 price isn't an issue.

Weaknesses:    Harder to find, as Ferrari's are harder to find than cavaliers.

Bottom Line:
Great shifting, braking, ergonomics, and funtionality. Simply the best, if you can afford it you won't regret it.

Strengths:    shifters can be re-build, quality & looks.Ergo brain is a cool computer to go with REcord

Weaknesses:    Expensive but it's worth it.Ergo brain computer is made by Cateye.

Bottom Line:
After two years with Shimano I decided to switch to Campy for a try.Love the 50/40/30 set up with 13/29 which makes it easy to climb any hills.Upgrade the brake pads to Kool stop and they work great. No more wires coming out from shifters.

Master Olympic Campagnolo Record 9 Speed Shamal Titanium

I've acquired my holy-grail, a Colnago Titanio 57cm, so I've moved all the parts from the old holy-grail Steel Master over. I picked up a Kestrel with the 9-speed record donor gruppo, and came up with this masterpiece. 2829 ... Read More »

Hey gang. Maybe this should be in the wheels thread but I always get the best info in here. So..picked up a sweet pair of Mavic Open Pro rims laced to Campy Record 9/10 speed hubs. Or so I thought... The 10 speed cassette fits the cassette body on the hub fine. The 10 speed lock ring threads ... Read More »
