Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
What a pile of cr@p! This pedal (actually badged as a Wellgo, but exactly the same) broke while clipping in on the 5th time I used it. Of course, I had bought them in the fall, but didn't mount them until spring, so no refund!! these pedals are cheap plastic chinese junk. You can get much better pedals for only about $20 more.

Price Paid:  $50.00 at Performance

Favorite Ride:
Foothills around Boulder

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Tuscany with Xero wheels and full Shimano.

Summary:
Excellent value. I've put well over 4,000 miles on these pedals and have had no problems at all. The pedals still rotate very well and engage the cleat in a very consistent manner. The large platform eliminates hot spots and provides confidence when standing for the climb.

Strengths:
Very reliable and durable at a great price. Classic look and confidence inspiring engagement.

Weaknesses:
Heavier than the fancy pedals, but more solid on your feet.

Similar Products Used:
Ritchey, Shimano pedals

Favorite Ride:
Any

Bike Setup:
99 Schwinn Peloton.

Summary:
Very nice pedals for the $$. Re-badged Looks at cheaper prices... I got mine for $50 bucks on a Performance special. You can't get many clipless pedals for that, especially genuine Looks, as these are made by Look in France.

They work well and float nicely with the ARC cleat. My left knee, which previously caused me grief with the limited float SPD-type pedals, is now pain-free. I also really liked the larger foot platform offered by these pedals... no more hotspots, and very easy to apply power to because of that. Just more comfortable in about every respect.

I am sure there are lighter and nicer pedals out there... but for value, nothing can touch these (especially at the $50 special).

Strengths:
Inexpensive... they are made by Look in France, so they are as good as Looks because they *are* looks. Remove the Look name and slap on the generic Performance name and save 30-40 bucks. Cleat setup, like all Looks, is pretty simple.

Weaknesses:
maybe a tad heavy, and the ARC cleat is occasionally squeaky.

SPD, Ritchey MTB pedals
