Strength:

Nice platform on one side, spd on the other. There really is not a lot of weight penalty for the platform, unlike most other platform/spd pedals. The pedals can be found fairly cheap (less than $50). Super easy to service.

Weakness:

Not great retention on the platform. Definitely designed more for touring / leisure riders or commuters. MTB riders should look elsewhere for a platform with studs.

I use this on my single speed when I ride to the local store with regular shoes. I then clip in when I'm going out for leisure rides with the girl friend, or when I ride in the early Spring or late Fall. It's also useful for a travel bike.
