when clipped in my feet slip all over the place massive side movement was much better off with my old pedals and joggers believe it or not

feet feel like there about to slip off all the time

From the first use of this padels i have many problems:
- difficult to unlock the shoes (set to the soft)
- spring break
- poor sensation in the soles

Light weight, affordable. I could not afford similar Shimano or Look pedals.

No ant-slip layer. Sometimes it feels like the pedals are slipping underneath the cleats.
They are had to dis-engage and unless you set lowest tension setting on the pedal you may get stuck!

This is my first clip-less pedal, therefore I have nothing else to compare with in my experience apart from my older pedals with toe-clips. One thing is obvious though, they are very light compared to my previous pedals. They also look nice although that is relatively speaking.

The bearing on these pedals is not that smooth when new but it improves out after some days of use. This means that when they are new engaging is a bit difficult. After some

I purchased the Wellgo W-40 clipless pedal as a replacement for a pair of Wellgo SPD pedals that worked like a charm. Not the case for the W-40's in less than a week of riding the springs holding the clips in place popped out during the middle of a 60 mile ride, and the screws sent to hold the cleat in place unscrewed several times. I had to stop in the middle of my ride and purchase a new pair of pedals to finish the day.

Super-low price. Lightweight at 290 grams.

Cornering clearance. Durability.

For the price, the pedal is good. Having used a Shimano Dura-ace ( "Lance" style ) look compatible set for 15+ years, I felt almost no difference.

They are SLIGHTLY harder to release, but I have had no issues getting in or out. The maximum tension is as good or better than the DA's. If you have weak knees, have never used Look style pedals before, or are a recreational fitness rider who clips out every other mile these may not be for you. If you want high release tension for sprints, then these are fine. I always use the black fixed cleats, so I can't comment on the cleats provided. ( You should be checking your cleats about once a week anyway, for wear, comparing them to a new set. In a pinch, you can put layers of duct tape on the pedal to firm up a worn clean, just a temporary fix.)

The cornering clearance on these is a bit low, so I would not recommend using these for crits. They do have a bit more ankle clearance to the crank as a result however ( which I needed after switching to an FSA compact crankset ).

I'm sure the durability is not very good, and the bearings are not sealed or silky smooth, but when you can buy anywhere from 5-10 sets of these for the price of one set of Looks depending on model, you really shouldn't be complaining about that, now should you?

Light, they look OK, cheap

Frustratingly hard to clip into, not very durable, crappy finish

These pedals look the part and weigh the part - but the performance leaves something to desired. Clipping in is a pain with these pedals, and even as an experienced road rider who has been using these pedals for months, I am still unable to get these pedals to immediately engage with 100% success. This means more fumbling around in the intersection, and more swearing than should be necessary.

On the plus side, the pedals are relatively light and look nice. Still, the black finish wears off very quickly.

You get what you pay for.

Really light (285g), extremely cheap... 20-30 bucks, replacement cleats are dirt cheap, and fairly smooth on the road.

Tension is too tight when above lowest tension setting...

I've always been tempted to try out the Wellgo pedals because they are so cheap. At first I was a little nervous about reliability/dependability, but I'm finding these pedals to be pretty good. They are light (285g) and the adjustable tension works smoothy... I reccomend the lowest tension setting or you'll never get out of them. All around, I think these will work well as a backup set of pedals for a racer or a great touring pedal. (also sold as Nashbar Special Road Pedal)
