Favorite Ride:
all over the midwest

Bike Setup:
Adventure into the 10 cog system led to SRAM cassette, chain, and cranks, along with Ultegra rear derailleur, FSA Energy front derailleur, and Shimano R700 shifters. . . Hey, I'm just going with what works. This little derailleur is fantastic!

Summary:
This product has less drag than the 105 rear derailleur, and this little Ultegra can manage SRAM's 11-28 by 10 cog cassette along with SRAM's 1070 chain.
The miniature Ultegra has no problem with this and no problem with the 50-34 compact crankset. That's a 33t spread and Ultegra 6600 Short Cage does it with grace.

Strengths:
Very much copasetic behavior, despite being pushed a bit beyond its specs.
Decreases drag noticably

Weaknesses:
Top pully has rubber junk seals that do drag; however it only takes about five minutes to dispose of the rubber bands and grease that pully up nicely.

Similar Products Used:
105 long, LX short (nice!), XT Shadow medium, and a half dozen more.

Bike Setup:
2004 Lemond Zurich/Specialized s-works E5

Summary:
I have a 2004 Ultegra 9 bike and a 2005 Ultegra 10 bike. The Ultegra 10 rear shifts are much more direct, smooth & positive.
