at cbike.com Favorite Ride: Colnago Master Bike Setup: 1996 colnago master, dura ace 8 speed, zipp 440 sew ups Summary: I purchased the fork to give a little new life to my 10 year old steel race bike. I've been doing pro 1/2 races in the mid atlantic for about 17 years now and believe it or not this was the first threadless fork let alone carbon bike bit i've ever owned aside from a pair of zipp 440s. i was amazed at the difference in comfort. i installed it on one november morning while well on my way to winter obesity and had just the most stellar ride in years. it improved comfort dramatically but didn't deaden road feel to a point where you couldn't sense what was going on beneath you. made a really great bike even better. i thought i was nearing the age where i would have to give up racing but after riding this fork and switching to a carbon seatpost i think i have 4 or five more years left in me. Strengths: nice looking solid black to carbon weave fade, aluminum steerer tube a little more forgiving than carbon for diy types when it comes to installation. matched the geometry of my frame perfectly. Weaknesses: only comes in black. we know it's carbon can we have a little color please! Similar Products Used: steel forks by, colnago, tomaso, derosa
