Bike Setup: Cinelli Starship with dura-ace 9 speed.
Summary: First carbon fork/aluminum frame I have ridden. Sat on steel bikes and forks for 25 years and am pleasantly surprised with this new ride. I think the fork has a lot to do with the performance of the aluminum frame.
No problem sitting on this for 80 miles and that surprised me. I thought my custom steel bike would never be second in comfort to an aluminum ride but I was wrong.
This bike rides so nice with clinchers that I'm tempted to invest in some boutique tubulars. hm-m-m-m-m-m.
Buy it if you can afford it. I don't have any experience with other carbon forks so I can't tell you if this is a good value for the dollar.
Strengths: Lightweight. Feels perfect with an aluminum frame. The dropouts fit my Dura-Ace hubs perfectly.
Weaknesses: None yet. I'm suspicious about the carbon steerer. Time will tell. The "lawyer tits" on dropouts.
