at performance bike Favorite Ride: Anything with hills Bike Setup: Basso Diamante 2003 Carbon Frame (58 cm). Easton EC 90 stem, bars and seatpost. EC 90 slx fork. Record 10 speed carbon levers, front and real derailluers Record ti crank, crank arms and brake set. Ksyrium elite wheels and Selle San Marco ti saddle. Profile carbon cages. Also, use a set of Mavic open pros with record hub for training. Summary: I have problems with my hands falling asleep from road vibration, so I went to full carbon and noticed a difference immediately. The Diamante is an awesome frame (although I swapped the fork for an Easton EC 90). It is a great climber with very little bottom bracket flex. I ride in the hills around Austin where the hills vary from 3% to 10% grade and I can stay in the saddle on all but the steepest climbs. Very lightweight. My entire bike weighs in at 16.4 pounds as compared to 19.2 for the same setup with the Basso Devil frame. Strengths: Very little road vibration. Lightweight with little flex. Aswesome looks. Weaknesses: A bit pricey, but if you can afford it well worth it. Similar Products Used: Basso Devil with Campy Chorus groupo. Bianchi steel with Shimano 105 components.
