$0.00 Bike Setup: Cyfac Proxidium Carbon, XL, Dura-Ace 10spd, Mavic Ksyrium, ITM bar & stem, Maxxis tires. Summary: This frame is all class. I have been racing bikes for over 15 years and this is by far the nicest bike I have ever ridden. I have always loved the qualities of aluminum for a race bike. It is stiff, light, and relatively cheap. The addition of the carbon stays makes this frame unbeatable. Other details include an integrated headset, headtube cable stops, proprietary dimensional tubeset, ribbed carbon designed by some famous F1 racecar designer, sloping top tube geometry, monostay chainstay bridge for stiffness, and ultra secure seat collor with adjustment for carbon or alloy seatposts. The attention to detail and workmanship of the frameset is top notch. Welds are hand finished smooth. The paint job is impeccable, with no blemishes and a thick coat of clear. The rear wheel drops into the frame easily with a reassuring "ca-chunk" for quick wheel changes, and furthermore, indicating proper alignment of the dropouts. The cable stops are all set in exactly the right spot, and the front derailler cable has a super slick internal feed through the massive chainstay bridge. The bike handles great. It is comfortable and agile, but not too twitchy. It won't buck you because you are not paying attention. It is just predictable and responsible. I recently ran it in the Tour of Somerville in the pouring rain around greasy New Jersey streets at full speed with nary a slip. The bike is balanced, stiff where needed, compliant where needed, and seems very durable. I would highly recommend this frameset. Other framesets which would compare would cost $500 to $1000 more and they would be mass produced with no style. Strengths: Strong, durable, lightweight, superb workmanship, great value, great styling. Weaknesses: The only weakness is I can't blame the bike anymore.
