Strengths:    Stiff, light, durable, responsive, corners extremely well, stable. Climbs extremely well!

Weaknesses:    doesnt look drop dead gorgeous, but damn it works well.

Bottom Line:
Fantastic All-Around Frame, the bike is stiff yet comfortable, responsive yet not twitchy, and is lightweight but still durable. I've raced this bike in the local crit, and weekly time trial, and can say that I have had better results in both. Switching from my old Javelin Arcole frame, this felt amazing, it just does everything well.

Zipp 202 or 303 FC for NYC and surrounding areas

I'm deciding between the Zipp 202 and 303 as my do-it-all-one-and-only wheelset. I'm currently running a pair of EC90 SLs, but the front gets a bit twitchy in x-winds. NYC isn't particularly hilly, but I do venture up to Bear Mountain occasionally. For riding in/around NYC, would the 202 or 303 b ... Read More »

Zipp FC 303 hub problems

I've had Zipp FC 303 clinchers for a year now, and "dialing in" the hubs is a constant annoyance. I have even thought about swapping the hubs out for something else... When the rear hub is loose enough so that the cassette wont spin when coasting, the wheel has what feels like too much play. Tighten ... Read More »

Zipp 404 FC Tubulars or Clinchers?

Given the choice would people take Zipp 404 FC Tubulars or Clinchers? They will be used as best wheels and living in the UK there are no huge sustained descents where I will overheat them.Read More »

Is Shimano FC 6703 Ultegra my only choice?

Trying to decide on a good triple for a titanium cross frame with drop bars. My newbie assumptions are: The Dura Ace 7803 seems to be old technology. XTR or XT are geared too low? And require MTB shifters or bar end. FSA has mediocre reliability. Campagnolo seems overpriced. Please set me straight ... Read More »

Zipp FC 303

I have a 2012 Paris. Thinking about getting a set of Firecrest 303's. I called both Zipp and Pinarello (Gita) and asked about any clearance issues. Neither could give me a definitive answer. So, is there any issues with this setup? Regards, NormRead More »
