Strengths:    Light weight. Strength. Comfort.

Weaknesses:    None.

Bottom Line:
Loved this bike from the very first ride. I immediately felt like I could ride faster and climb better. I am 6'2 and 230lbs. With all of my other bikes I could flex the back end of the bike when I came out of the saddle and pushed hard. I have never experienced this with the Z-1. This bike does so many things well. But what I appreciate the most is its comfort. I do century rides almost monthly and on occasional I will do a double. So I spend a lot of time on the bike. While my butt may get pretty sore I have noticed much less discomfort in my back. While this bike may not be as colorful as many bikes out there it is still a stanout machine.

I'm looking at the width of that downtube and am having panic attacks that it is too wide and the chain will hit it. Can anyone confirm that this combination will work? Tha ... Read More »

Cervelo RS or Felt Z1 for racing?

I do road races, usually on bad roads. I'm coming from a Scott CR1, which was great, but I found it to be a little too twitchy on fast, bumpy descents. I'm considering the RS or Z1, but I don't want a "comfort" bike --- I want a legit racing bike. Your thoughts.Read More »

Is the Z1 racy enough for racing?

I do road races, usually on bad, torn-up roads. My Scott CR1 is a little too twitchy for fast, bumpy descents. Considering the Z1, but I don't want a "comfort" bike --- I want a legit racing bike. Your thoughts.Read More »

2011 Z1 and ZC Frames

When will Felt post an actual photo of the Z1 frame on their website? I do not like the looks of the Z1 Frame color scheme and hope that seeing a true photo may help. I wish Felt had the same build and color scheme as the F3 in a Z series as I want a Z frame with a SRAM Red build. I like the col ... Read More »
