Independent Fabrication Crown Jewel 650c Frames

The three smallest sizes of the Crown Jewel are built with 650c wheels, because it enables us to build a better bike than a similarly sized frame with 700c wheels. Smaller wheels enable us to diminish or alleviate problems like toe/tire overlap and standover clearance. In addition, they enable us to design a bike with more favorable angles and top tube lengths. In effect, we design the frame around the rider and not around tradition. With proper gearing and component selection, a 650c wheeled bike will perform as well as, if not better then a 700c wheeled frame
