Price Paid:
$1200.00
at roadbikeshop.dk Favorite Ride: High intesity Bike Setup: Omega Matrix frame (L), Campagnolo Centaur groupset, Mavic Ksyrium equipe wheels, Omega carbon seatpost.
Summary: (price paid is for frameset only)
Obviously a performance oriented frame, yet the long and slim seatpost (27.2mm) needed given the sloping geometry adds a level of comfort. Some head-tube flex when shaking the handlebar, though the fork and headset is stable. Guess more aggressive frames are available, but look forward to take it on longer rides, where comfort matters.
The top and bottom tubes are shaped into trapezoid profiles in the middle sections. The effectiveness of this in terms of performance may be questionable, but it gives the design some personality. Strengths: lightweight, comfort, nicely looking carbon lugs Weaknesses: Alloy rivets on cable mounts may corrode over time. No brace-on for front derailleur.
