Strength:

Bluetooth connectivity, screen readability at night, long charge, durable

Weakness:

size is a bit big

I bought the bundle and have had zero problems with mine. Unit connected fine to my iphone and android phone with no issues. no problem using Garmin Connect and Strava with this. Once you get your bike profiles and data screens dialed in, this thing is amazing - use mine everyday for every ride. Out front mount is nice for road bike, I use the stem mount for my CX bike.

Strength:

On the odd occasion that it works, its features are nice.

Weakness:

File transfer does not work. Cannot charge on computer. Unit disappears from computer. Deleted activities remain on device and slow operation to a crawl.

This is an extremely poorly made device. Garmin clearly rushed this piece of garbage to market without thorough testing. After working for a few weeks, mine stopped working properly. It disappears from the computer 10-30 seconds after USB connection, on any of six different computers. This means file transfer is impossible, even directly (by copying FIT files), let alone by Strava. It also means the unit cannot be recharged conveniently. Deleted activities remain on the unit, making all operations inordinately slow.

Repeated firmware updates and hard restarts (requiring all user data to be re-entered) did nothing.

Totally useless. I will never buy another Garmin product.

Strength:

Instant upload, faster processer, touch screen, live track connectivity combined with social media

Weakness:

Price and size of unit

Just purchased to replace my 500, enjoyed the live track option , really not a replacement for the 500 just an addition.garmin really need to share the app software with strava and training peaks if they truly want this item to be a standard
