Strengths: Above all, weather proof. Very low upkeep and doesn't seem to get dirty.
The 23-700 tires and wheels help the speed up.Weaknesses: It is a commuter.Bottom Line: To set the record straight, commuter is this bike, the fun is after work.
The Schwinn World adventure is above all smooth. The 8 speed Nexus and the two crank chain rings gives a ratio range beyond belief with will spaced gear selections.
With a rack and daily gear the rig is heavy (to get up and down from the third floor apartment).
On the road is a different story. I set my cadence and away we go. Upright in a headwind or up a hill causes the view to change more slowly, but the traffic lights and stop sighs kills the average speed faster than the reduced cruise speed.
The greatest feature are fenders and internal gears. An unexpected rain and wet roads dose not soil the bike. The fenders keeps the bike and me dry of road water and muck. No stripe up my back or water filled shoes. And did I mention, the disk brakes are light on the lever and always and instantly there when needed wet or dry.
Internal gearing has come a long way since Strummy Archer.

Similar Products Used: Past bikes for this purpose was a Gary Fisher Simple City and before that a Bianchi Cafe Racer. The Simple City was big and comfortable but the brakes were weak. The Bianchi was neat.
Bike Setup: The bike came with the dyno front hub with a front light only, no tail light. The bulb was a 2.4W and the hub output is 3W. The bulb did not last the test ride.
I have an LED Euro front light now, lots of light and a great pattern. A flashing rear and front battery powered front and rear lights round out the lighting for winter darkness. One light for me to see and two to be seen. (The same road at the same time every day lets drivers know you are going to be there. Be nice or revenge is sweet!)
