Price Paid:  $129.00 at Muniz Hardware, Pasa

Model Year:
2005

Favorite Ride:
Raleigh 3speed, '70s vintage

Bike Setup:
Beach cruiser, stylized interpretation of the classic American bicycle.

Summary:
Overall a decent bike. Not the best in the beach cruiser class, but a step above Wal-Mart bikes. Basically well made, but style seems to have beat out function. The frame curves down so much that the seat post sticks up almost a foot, which put enough leverage on it to bend it back about five degrees. At least now it matches all the other swoopy lines :-/ The seat itself is comfortable, well sprung and cushiony.
Remove the fenders, they rattle and rub. Also swap out the factory 15 tooth sprocket for a 17 or 18, unless you like the feel of pedalling uphill when you're still on the flat. I like the style though, the aluminum rims look nice, and the whitewalls ditto. It has a comfortable ride, even on rough ground, credit the big saddle and tires. A good bike for recreational use, and seems pretty durable. Put a rack or some baskets on it and it would be good for shopping. Not a long distance bike, but for a few relaxed miles, hard to beat, for the price.

Strengths:
Solid wheels, good tires, good frame, comfortable riding position, most hardware nice, especially bars and gooseneck.

Weaknesses:
Weak seatpost. Fenders rub, stock gearing too high. Crude welds, crank castings rough, plastic pedals.
