Bottom Line: I found the bike to be a step up from the bike I was riding, a Trek 1000, but I expected that due to the fact that I paid over twice a much for the Jamis. The ride on the Jamis is a very smooth ride, probably because the tires were a bit larger; I went from a 700cc x 25 to a 700cc x 32., but what surprised me, was how fast the bike accelerated, and this is especially helpful in a downtown, high traffic, stoplight-to-stoplight situation. The Nova Pro comes with pretty heavy wheels, and I'm definitely going to upgrade before I race, but I did only pay $1199 at BikeTek in Pittsburgh. My biggest dislike would be the shakiness of the front while braking, it's really bad.
