Bottom Line:
I found the bike to be a step up from the bike I was riding, a Trek 1000, but I expected that due to the fact that I paid over twice a much for the Jamis. The ride on the Jamis is a very smooth ride, probably because the tires were a bit larger; I went from a 700cc x 25 to a 700cc x 32., but what surprised me, was how fast the bike accelerated, and this is especially helpful in a downtown, high traffic, stoplight-to-stoplight situation. The Nova Pro comes with pretty heavy wheels, and I'm definitely going to upgrade before I race, but I did only pay $1199 at BikeTek in Pittsburgh. My biggest dislike would be the shakiness of the front while braking, it's really bad.

Nova Pro commuter?

I have a line on an 08 or 09 Nova Pro frame and fork. I see it has eyelets front and rear, but wonder is it really adaptable to a rear rack and full fenders for commuting? I really like the geometry of this frame, like the fork, it seems about ideal for what I'm looking for. But the rear carbo ... Read More »

Jamis Nova Pro vs Colnago World Cup?

Hello, I am looking to buy a cyclocross bike and my top two contenders are the Jamis Nova Pro and the Colnago World Cup. They retail for the same price and are built with Shimano 105. I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. [url]http://www.jamisbikes.com/canada/thebikes/road/nova/10_ ... Read More »

Jamis Nova Pro - Question

I was looking into purchasing a Nova Pro. Does anybody have any experience with this bike? durability (any concern about cracking between carbon and aluminum rear seat stays)? Drawbacks? I've test ridden it and it has a solid feel and geometry. Just wanted more insight.Read More »
