Price Paid:  $1000.00 at John Henry the Bicyc

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Norco CCX Two

Bike Setup:
Bone stock out of the box -> FSA Vero crank, Shimano Sora shifter/brake, Avid Disc brakes, Ritchey road disc hub, Alex rims

Summary:
When my Kona Dawg primo was stolen, my wife demanded that my next bike be under $1000. Well for the last while i have been mostly using the Dawg for commuting to/from work and the occasional foray onto some single track around my place (Vancouver, BC). So when I saw the CCX two I thought what the hell. Well I have been riding it for the last 3 months and i am very pleased. i am used to disc brakes and this was a sticking point for me and well i like the brakes. The riding position too a while to get used to and getting used to a non-suspended rig was a re-education in my child hood, but overall I am very pleased. For an entry level ride with disc brakes and the ability to handle my 220lbs weight penalty it is worth the cash. Now this is not an Orbea or some feather light bike, this is a work horse and as such your expectations of it should be moderate.

Strengths:
Disc brakes, price, tuneability, surefootedness on non-aggressive single track

Weaknesses:
Shimao sora flight components. I already want to move up to Shimano 105's
