Strengths:    Great frame, nice geometry, unbelievably light, good parts pick except for headset cap (see below)

Weaknesses:    The cable hanger integrated into the headset cap (and its sharp, hard edge) will hit the top tube before the handlebar. I called Scott and they weren't interested in resolving the issue which they didn't even think was a problem.

Other: the cable routing is the worst i've seen in a cross bike.

Bottom Line:
This is a buyer beware posting for the 2009/10 Addict CX or CX RC.

Scott Addict CX Sizing

I'm a little in between sizes on the Addict CX. Can anybody out there that can give me stack and reach measurements on a small and a medium? I'm leaning towards medium since the top tube length is the same as my road bike and it's got 2cm on the headtube over the small.Read More »

I am a mountian guy for sure but wanted to explore some Olympic distance to perhaps one or two half ironman distance tri's. I ... Read More »

Spend my money: Scott Addict CX or new Stigmata frame and carbon tubulars?

I'm trying to decide where to spend my money for next season. Choice one is a Scott Addict CX complete bike, 17 or so pounds w/ ultegra components and ksyrium clincher wheelset. Choice two is to upgrade my frame to a Stigmata, get a new crank set and buy new deep dish carbon tubular wheels ... Read More »

Scott Addict CX - Wheelbase

I have been searching in vain for the wheelbase of the Scott Addict RC cyclocross bike. I would be looking for this for the size 52 center to top (small). I cannot find this measurement anywhere online. Does anyone have this bike to supply a measurement or have a catalog? ThanksRead More »

Opinion on Scott Addict CX

What do you think of the Scott Addict CX bike? The plain CX, not the RC. I tend to favor carbon frames for the dampening of chatter. My road bike's a triple for mountainous terrain and climbing. Would the Addict's gearing work well for that? RidesyetiRead More »
