Strengths:    Well made.nice looks good. folds up.

Weaknesses:    scratches

Bottom Line:
I bought the Trek f400 after a test ride and find it superb.I use it every day, as i am disabled i keep it in the boot of my far i have cycled Liverpool,London,Edinburgh,Kent(tour de france)Canal tow paths,Parks even the beach. I changed the tyres to diamondback bmx and the ride is much better now. This bike is no longer available in the uk which is a shame. My lovley wife has just ordered a MEZZO d9. I can hardly wait.

Strengths:    Efficient folding
Good brakes
Comfortable seat
Very small fold up size

Weaknesses:    Handlebars cannot be raised or shortened
No splash guard (lot's of fun in the daily fog! :) )

Bottom Line:
As a commuter who until recently was forced to shove a gigantic bicycle into her Honda Civic, this Trek F400 was a dream come true. When folded it leaves ample trunk room and I no longer have to fold down the back seats. The gear shifting is very smooth, the brakes haven't failed me yet, though they did start squeaking a few days ago (easily solved by adjusting the brake pad), the shocks are ok, still bumpy, but not as bad as it could be. The plus: you can fold this bike in 15 seconds after a bit of practice. The downside: you must be very careful to have the pedal towards the ground; I've already put in three nicks on the frame trying to fold it when it's up. Also, you have to hit it just right so that the magnet keeps the tires together. No chance of this bike coming unfolded while riding either: lot's of safety clasps.
