at Matthew's Bicycles Model Year: 2005 Favorite Ride: Any ride away from traffic. Bike Setup: Stock. Summary: The Townie is the kind of bike that can make riding to that childhood destination of "nowhere" fun again. Minutes after getting this bike home I jumped on for a ride around my neighborhood and had a great time. Just cruising along was fun and made me wish that spring weather would arrive early.
The form and fit of the Townie are exceptional for the price, and it appears durable enough for many enjoyable years of riding. Strengths: Comfortable ergonomic design. Light weight, fit and finish, and stylish looking! Weaknesses: Wheels are suspect. The front wheel of my bike was substantially out of true coming out of the bike shop. Both wheels have up-and-down movement that may not be a problem at cruising speed. Similar Products Used: First cruising-style bike.
