Summary:
2009 model.
had a 2.0 upgraded to 1.0. it's a road rocket. for teh additional $ the components are more than worth the xtra. all 105 components, sealed crank, 30 speed.
I did add an adjustable head to raise the handlebar at bit. disgarded the toe clips as dangerous.
smoothe ride, instant shifting, quiet and LIGHT wt. 4 # less than 2.0
well constructed.
it's a road bike with flat handle bar.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
either my buns are getting bigger or seat is too narrow . the seat fits the bike shape perfectly

Price Paid:  $775.00 at Craigslist

Model Year:
2007

Bike Setup:
All stock with exception of stem riser and Forte Shovel platform pedals.

Summary:
My bike is a 2008 Absolute 1.0.

I'm 50 years old, 70 lbs overweight, and am new to cycling.

I am extremely pleased with the Absolute 1.0. I've got about 200 miles on it with group rides ranging from 14 to 21 miles. I'm very comfortable on the bike including the stock saddle.

Wheels are getting out of true, but my 230 lbs is probably the main reason for that.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the bike and would recommend it to all. If someone stole it today, I would imediately go out and order a new one just like it from my local Fuji dealer.

Strengths:
Value!!! After looking at many bikes, I felt the Fuji provides better componets for the money. Many dealers say that you are paying for the frame when you buy a bike. So maybe the Fuji frame is not of the same quality as Trek, Specialized, etc, but it works for me at this point.

Weaknesses:
Mounting screws for bottle rack on seat tube are so high that I can not fit a regular water bottle on seat tube. I have to use the shorter water bottle and it barely fits with about 1/8" of clearance. My frame is the 17" and this may not be a problem on larger frames.

No other complanints.

Similar Products Used:
I test road Trek 7.5 amd 7.9 FX bikes. The high end Treks were too expensive for me and the lower end Treks contained too many low end componets for my taste. I also test rode the Felt Speed 30 which was a great bike and fit perfectly, but the Fuji won out based on higher end shifters.

Price Paid:  $975.00 at Twins Bike Shop

Favorite Ride:
2009 Fuji Absolute 1.0

Bike Setup:
Large frame, Bontrager carbon seatpost and riser bar, bontrager 100mm stem.

Summary:
Awesome bike. I was hesitent to buy as I could not find an exact model to look at in person. I finally found one 1 hr away, but an 2008. I likes the ride but wanted the pearl white of the 2009. I found a shop who ordered it and put it together as well as giving me a great deal. Love the bike.
3 things I changed...Bontrager carbon seatpost. This is a must! Smoothes the ride out incredibly. I shortened the stem to a 100mm Bontrgaer Stem and added a Bontrager carbon riser bar. Perfect set up for my 6ft frame.

Strengths:
Light, fast, smooth shifting.

Weaknesses:
The seatpost should be carbon at this price point. The flat bar and long road stem was too extreme for me.

2009 Trek 7.5fx

Price Paid:  $575.00 at Performance Bike Sho

Favorite Ride:
FUJI Absolute 2.0

Summary:
Bike is 2008 model. I needed something to get back into shape, with a bad knee. I bought this bike because it was light weight and fast. I especially like the adjustable handle bars that can easily be positioned for your height and comfort. The bike has been solid and has been ridden frequently. The gears are quick to respond and easy to work. The seat and all parts on the bike are top notch for the money spent. Overall, this is a great bike for the money.

Strengths:
Fast, light steady ride. Does not shake and rides steady during down hill / fast riding. Great beginner bike for people new to riding.

Weaknesses:
Feel everything in the road. If you run over bumps / rocks /grooves in the road, you will definitely feel it.

Similar Products Used:
Looked into Giant FCR, Specialized & Cannondale Hybrids before selecting this bike.

Price Paid:  $585.00 at Dunbar's Cyclery

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Southern N.C.C. Delaware

Bike Setup:
Stock except for Cateye Velo 8 computer.

Summary:
This bike is actually an '08 Ablsolute 2.0 that replaced an '05 which was too small for me. The Absolute is light, fast and handles great while being stable enough for a 200+ lb rider like me. The adjustable stem is important to me because I have trouble finding a bike with enough reach versus proper stand over height and also allows me to raise the bars a little for better comfort. Fuji went back to Trigger Shifters for '08-which I prefer. The Carbon Fork helps the ride quality. The badging decals are not applied as neatly as the older model but that could vary from frame to frame. For me the Absolute is a much better fit that the Giant FCR series. I think this is a good bike for the money. The bars aren't great but Bar Ends should help a little. The saddle is, well, an OEM saddle. It will be replaced. Overall, I am pleased.

Strengths:
Light weight, handling, adjustable stem and carbon fork. Almost road bike performance with a more comfortable riding position. Good value for the price.

Weaknesses:
Downgraded components from older model, badging decals sloppy (one has an air bubble).

Similar Products Used:
Giant FCR, Older Fuji Absolute.
