Weaknesses: Paint is prone to chipping. Handlebar could be better
Bottom Line:
The Nevada Cross is essentially the Nevada mountain bike's frame with 700c wheels and a few other modifications. Overall, its's a great value at $330. Coming from a road bike, the Nevada Cross offers less of an upright position than other hybrid/comfort bikes (e.g., the Giant Cypress). I was concerned about the Shimano Alivio components, but so far haven't had any problems. Paint is prone to chipping, and I'll probably replace the tires with something a bit thinner and slicker. Does very well on packed dirt and gravel. The bike is reasonably light for its class and price range.
