Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I used this bike as it was at a property I rented in Key West. It was the only bike there that I was able to get to fit me (I'm 5'1"). I didn't enjoy it much - it functioned as a bike but I found the turning radius to be very poor and it was awkward to ride at times. Perhaps I didn't have the handlebars set up correctly - it wasn't a pain to sit in at all, but it was awkward to maneuver at times and a pain to lift anywhere (which I had to do when I couldn't turn it tightly enough). Perhaps would've been better if I owned it for longer and was able to properly adjust to it.

Strengths:
Good for all sizes of people, generally easy ride.

Weaknesses:
Poor turning radius, considerably heavier than normal bikes, could be awkward to ride at times.

Price Paid:  $399.00 at Bennets bike and fit

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Giant Revive

Bike Setup:
already set up and fit pretty well.

Summary:
After not riding a bike for years I hopped on my sturdy mountain bike and relized at 40 years of age and heavy I was not going to ride this anymore. I went to a local bike retailer and test rode the giant revive. I fell in love with it after the first block.

Strengths:
Makes pedaling almost effortless.

Weaknesses:
none

Price Paid:  $540.00 at Montgomery Cyclery-C

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Giant Revive LX

Bike Setup:
Montgomery Cyclery store took care of this.

Summary:
I had been looking for the right bike for over six years, always keeping my eye on a recumbent since I've paid for past athletic injuries--torn knee cartilage, back surgery due to sled and tramp accidents as well as hip and leg problems. The Revive has been the answer!!! Two weeks after purchasing, I rode the 11+ miles loop around Cades Cove in the Smokies. It was great!

Strengths:
Easy steering, shock absorbency, neck and back lumbar/disk support with comfortable seat and high back, enclosed chain system, smooth 21 gears, nice contemporary odometer, etc.

Weaknesses:
Ummmmmm . . . limited choice of colors? Other than that, can't really think of any. 20" tires aren't a problem with bike set into correct gear

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Mike's Bikes in Gurn

Model Year:
2003

Favorite Ride:
Des Plaines river trail

Summary:
If you are looking for a comfortable bike that is easy to ride this is it! This is a great bike to take a recreational ride on and get some exercise. The 8 gears are ample for Midwestern riding. I recommend you also purchase the custom rear rack bag for tools and gear. I also replaced the street tires with mountain bike tires for packed crushed stone trails. This bike will definitely turns heads and you will get comments (positive).

Strengths:
Easily adjustable seat and handlebars. The seat style and upright sitting position make back and butt aches virtually nonexistent

Weaknesses:
This bike is heavy but sturdy. You will not win any races. Mine is also a few years old and has no mounting for a waterbottle holder on the frame.

Price Paid:  $450.00 at Bikes, Blades, and B

Model Year:
2003

Favorite Ride:
ReviveGiant

Bike Setup:
No problem setting it up or learning to remove the tires. I have very little technical aptitude and I learned, with the help of an experienced professional of course.

Summary:
I love my ReviveGiant. My bike is the same as the model shown in the opening page. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. I love it.

Strengths:
You can ride it anywhere in comfort. If you're looking for speed, it's not the bike for it. However once you're in pretty good shape, you can ride pretty quickly on it. This is true even if you don't set the seat and handlebars properly.

Weaknesses:
It's heavy, and I struggled to learn how to set the seat and the handlebars.
