at Ridleys Cycle Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Trek 7.6 Summary: A very nice bike to ride. Does quite well on pathways except a little rough when going over root disturbed patches. Bike rack was easy to install. Well suited for commutes of and hour each way. The gears need a bit of attention and have been adjusted a couple of times so far. Perhaps this is usual for a new bike and I'm not sure as I haven't had a new one for many years. I have had to replace the front derailleur shifter (deore) after a month but the bike shop was very good and did replace it under warranty. The bike is quite light (unloaded) and is very quick. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. Strengths: Light, 700x28 tires good for most road and pathway situations.
Quick shifting and pretty good for climbing.
Rack and accessories were easy to install
Weaknesses: I have encountered some problems with the shifter (front derailleur) which was fixed but was a little inconvenient. Still fiddling with gears.
Disc brakes aren't an option (I do not need them)
