Just like clock work with Swiss precision, the BMC Impec is right on time! The Impec is built for speed on a platform of pure performance. The "Super car" of bikes! The BMC Impec is engineered with *futuristic technology*. The seamless LSW (Load Specifc Weave) gives BMC the manufacturing freedom to create the pefect tube-set. Individually designing each tube with a single purpose in mind. Power translation! The all new cutting edge *half shell* technology or SNC (Shell Node Concept) takes BMC to the next level of what is possible in today's carbon industry. Insight from companies such as Lamborghini have helped BMC re-invent the future of cycling. Available Stock: -53cm Race Fit - DuraAce Di2 - Mavic CCSLR - $13,999 -55cm Race Fit - DuraAce Di2 - Mavic CCSLR - $13,999 -57cm Performance Fit - DuraAce Di2 - Lightweight Standard - $15,799 Features: -Frame weight: 900 grams (Size 54) -Sizes: Race Fit (RACE) 50, 53, 55, 57, 60 | Performance Fit (PERF) 50, 53, 55, 57, 60 -Frame Colors: Team - Black/Red, White - Black/White, Noble - Black/Dark Gray, Stealth - Black/Matte -Bottom Bracket: BB30
Strengths: Comfortable ride on rough surfaces. When pushing hard it doesn't flex too much at bottom bracket. Excellent build quality. Paint work is perfect. Decals are clear coated/smooth unlike other brands so long-term durability is more likely. Di2 cable internal routing is perfectly clean. Rubber grommets fit and don't pop-out like other brands. No weird trim to fit seat masts. So far excellent dealer support. A truly interesting design concept. Similar in concept to the Look KX, but better somehow. Decals are straight. The last three Times that I have had all came with misaligned decals. The BMC is perfect. My Dogma has basic masking for decals/graphics. Dogma Team Sky addition decals started to peel within the first year. BMC has a Di2 Batter mount under BB. It looks very tidy.
Weaknesses: There is a little plastic ring that fits at the top of the seat-tube. Looks nice but it is easy to loose/break. Easily replaced for about $20. The lugs have a seam that collects road dirt. Sizing is a bit odd, although similar to a Pinarello Dogma. I ride a 51.5 Dogma and a 50 Impec or size small Time.
Compared to other bikes in this range that I have owned, including the Pinarello Dogma, Time VXRS Ulteam, Time NXR the BMC shows better fit and finish. Sizing is nice and ride quality is very comfortable. BB stiffness is perfect. I have the Race Fit 50cm geometry. Dealer support has been fantastic.

Why in the world are the Impecs so freaking expensive (or Parlees or Look Bikes for that matter)? I have watched the video and read reviews, and I still don't get what truly makes them so unique for an average or even serious rider. If it is so special, then why is BMC still producing the SLR01 an ... Read More »

I saw them at Interbike last season, saw them.
Fast forward to this morning when a customer emails if I have certain components I offer to help lighten his bikes weight.
He states he owns an Impec...

Funny, but when I was at the USAPCC in 2011, the team had a bunch of Impecs in the trailer and on the tops of the cars, but no riders rode them in the race, at least ... Read More »
