Strengths: Hefty build, great components, touring geometry.Weaknesses: This is not a road racing bike, it is heavy. When new, the bike was pricey. Burley is no longer making any bicycles. This was the last Hudson off the line.Bottom Line: This is a touring bike that will go anywhere. It weighs just under 30# with seat, pedals, rear rack, and speedo. Everything on the bike is first class and sturdy. I have put road touring tires on the bike but there is a lot of room for wide tires.
Favorite Ride: Burley Hudson
Price Paid:
$2000.00
Purchased At: Orange Cycle
Similar Products Used: I toured loaded on a steel framed LeMond Buenos Aries before I bought this bike. The Burley is much more comfortable.
Bike Setup: STandard: XTR rd, Ultegra STI, Ultegra fd, Weinmann DPX wheels, and 48/36/26 Truvativ crank. I installed XT crank for shorter length crank, and also installed a Brooks saddle.
