Price Paid:  $0.00

Model Year:
2004

Bike Setup:
Campy Record 10 speed.

Summary:
I sold my C40 to purchase the anniversary bike. After waiting 4 months for my framesize (60cm) I finally received the bike. It was absolutely worth the wait. Pictures do not do this bike justice. The nube carbon is awesome in the sun. But more importantly the ride is superior to the C40. Incredible ride. All day and comfortable.

Strengths:
Components (Campy carbon record) and ride. Solid feel under all conditions.

Weaknesses:
None at all (but I am glad the Cinelli Ram fit me as it is not adjustable).

Similar Products Used:
Colnago C40 and C35

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Mike Perry

Model Year:
2005

Favorite Ride:
Local area (Essex-UK) 30-50 miles

Bike Setup:
CAmpag Record.

Summary:
Totally addictive bike; Stable, balanced, extremely comfortable, reassuring. "In a different league" according to Mike Perry. He's right.

Strengths:
Balanced and safe. The front end is amazing. The most comfortable bike I have ridden, and the most reassuring. (And yes, the most expensive.)

Weaknesses:
I had read on a website - maybe this one-before delivery that the tyres were suspect. First trip out - puncture. LBS supply new inner tube. Next trip out - 30 miles - puncture in other tyre. LBS fit new tyres. 6000 miles later, same rides, no punctures. What do you think?
The saddle was awful. Swapped to a beloved (and heavier) Milremo - heaven!
Spent a few weeks "tweaking" the saddle - up/down forward/back. One day, everything snapped into focus. Weaknesses now? NONE!

Similar Products Used:
Several other Colnagos - all kept.
Merckx steel. (Also retained)
Hetchins.(Winter bike)

Price Paid:  $6500.00 at Competitve Cyclist

Favorite Ride:
Americas Most Beautiful Bike Ride aka Lake Tahoe Century

Bike Setup:
My 50th is Shimano Dura Ace 10, Fizik Carbon Aliante seat, Speed Play Zero pedals ti, Carbon bottle cages, Carbon Blackburn pump, Conti attack, force tires and tubes, Polar 525 carbon computor, Natural Carbon finish on the bike, handle bar and stem{1 piece},seat post.

Summary:
My 50th Anv is a sweet ride that turns heads for Colango fans but does not scream for attention. It's stiff but comfortable except on your wallet.

Strengths:
The workmanship on the frame natural Carbon finish and the laser etched 50 th logo's on the dura ace parts are awesome

Weaknesses:
Where to park it!
Could be lighter, my Cannondale R3000 is stiffer and lighter. The Vittoria 140 lb tires were a pain to repair and so sticky I had 6 flats in 500 miles. Hind site would be to special order a serotta.

Similar Products Used:
Trek 5500 to soft too heavy,
Cannondale R3000 still have for racing
