Strengths: Road feel, strength, handling, beauty, lightnessWeaknesses: none at allBottom Line: Merely the best road bike available.
First it's exceptional design. Tight rear triangle combined with forgiving head tube and fork rake make for a combination of quick jump out of the saddle with exceptional stability and confidence in high speed descent and cornering.
Next it's a work of steel frame-building art. Hydroformed chainstays, brought together with oversized downtube, perfectly mitered seat tube, all for a smooth and stiff bottom bracket assembly.
The feeling is an incredible combination of quickness, liveliness, road feel, and pure speed.
I'm a big strong rider, this is a 63 cm frame, yet the frame is incredibly stiff on hard climbs or sprints.
50+ mph descents are amazing because the frame just glides through corners, responding perfectly to every lean and shift, without a trace of shimmy. You don't even think about it, you just fly.
Last, the steel is amazing feel - 6, 8, 10 hours in the saddle and you still feel fine, not punished.
All in all the best frame I've ever ridden, and I've ridden a lot. I've never owned a carbon frame, but from a few rides on them they just don't have the road feel this Corum provides in spades. Can't say enough. It's just beautiful, too. It gets noticed
