Strengths: Campagnolo shifting and braking always make the bike feel right. This compact frame increased the comfort to an old guy.Bottom Line: Overall good feel comes from the stong aluminum frame, smooth shifting triple and good value parts. It work for the hills or the flats.

Strengths: The group being Shimano 105 provides great durability and nice shifting. The compact frame geometry allows a smaller stronger frame. Relatively small Canadian company so the quality control is good. The geometry fit my body which is the main benefit. The Crankset (Truvativ Elita Isis 52/42/30T)gives great power transfer and will soon be on all bikes. The all aluminum frame also allowed me to put a rear rack to carry gear for commuting.Weaknesses: The Shimano R500 rear wheel came out of true quite quickly (maybe a friday afternoon build).Bottom Line: I was looking for a bike to commute but performance oriented under $1500. I travel 30km each way and was looking for the times to be around 1 hour each trip.
I've used a mtn bike with slicks as I'm riding most of the year sometimes in inclimate conditions. I also commuted with a 10 year old Bianchi and a Mielle.
This bike came across as versatile enough to provide me durability for rough roads and a rack while providing some good effeciency for the mileage. It also provided the ability to do some long loops in the local Gatineau park on the weekends. I tried the Trek 1000 but didn't like the Sora groupo shifting. The Specialized Allez came in closely but for a similar price I could go from Tiagra to 105. The Giant OCR was very similar but I went for a Canadian manufacturer in Devinci. Bicyclette de Hull also provided great service and made sure the bike was set up properly. The geometry of most bikes in this range is similar. The stem and seat adjustments can make any bike fit. I appreciated getting on a bike that shifted properly, and felt like it fit me right away. The triple up front seems contridictory to a performance bike, but the gatinueau hills make it a welcome treat when you're tired.
It's apparent that all 10 stores I visited knew the market well and were competive in pricing. The important part for this bike was that it fit me, met my performance needs and was durable. Given all the test rides, the set up was best and I went for a Canadian company. I expect to have many years from this bike in a variety of situations.

Strengths: Stiff but comfortable
Great groupset
Strong, sexy wheelsWeaknesses: gearing could be taller (needs an 11 or 12 on the cassette)Bottom Line: This is my first road bike. Anything would probably feel fast compared to my mountain bike, but this bike is nice. I'm not totally sure what the deal is, but the bike is a different paint scheme (all black, which is nicer), and gets a totally different spec than what is offered on their website. That's fine with me, because I think it's better. (The price paid in in Canadian dollars)
After I get past staring at it and get on it, it accelerates instantly, and is fairly comfortable - the shop threw in a carbon seat post and the carbon fork do their job. I like the Campy Veloce transmission and brakes. The adjustability on the front derailleur is nice, the rear der. (10 speed) is crisp, and the brakes grab well. The shifters are great except when you are in the drops and you must slightly adjust your position to shift with your thumbs, as they are not grouped together with the brakes. The wheels are strong, bladed spokes, not too light, but not heavy. Stella Itallia Carbon Pro seat has been comfortable once I got used to it. Overall, a great bike.
