at various Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Felt Bike Setup: DA and Ultegra components, neuvation training and Hed/Eason racing wheels. currently set up as road bike with aero bar, got tired of shifting in aero mode while training and casual ridding Summary: Bought the frame off ebay, with a Ritcy fork. I was worried about the aluminum ride, but with the carbon rear stays and carbon fork, its a sweet ride. Strengths: light weight! Weaknesses: some road vibrations Similar Products Used: I had a Specialized carbon prior to this, circa 1996

Price Paid:
$0.00 Model Year: 2006 Summary: This is a review for the CA1 frameset that Felt discontinued for 2007. I put an Ouzo Pro fork on it. This frame is stiff in the corners but very stable, especially on corners at the bottom of fast descents. The longer wheelbase and stiffness of the frame add to the stability. It's also comfortable. When cruising at speeds stomp on the pedals and feel the bike jump. It moves pretty good. I'm going to use this bike in our regions version of Roubaix because it is stiff, stable, and comfortable. It climbs great and sprints good too. I really like the aggressive geometry but traditional appearance. It barely has any slope to the top tube in sizes 54 and up. I am very happy with this frameset. It just feels right to me. Dan Felt nailed this one.
I just wish Felt would bring back Scandium and other alloy framesets to the market. They were great framesets. The SC1 and F15 were remarkable frames as well as this CA1. Strengths: Very stable on descents and corners
Great power transfer
Comfortable
Looks mean but good looking
Somewhat traditional appearance.
Geometry
Weaknesses: Felt no longer offers this frameset nor the SC1 and F15. That's a shame...bring them back Felt!! Similar Products Used: Cervelo(another great frameset)
Specialized
Lemond
Giant
Flyte
