Strengths:    The bike is of course very fast and handles very well. But it's accelleration and climbing set it apart. These factors are due to a combination of overall light weight, a very stiff frame and the exeptional new Mavic R-Sys wheels.

Weaknesses:    The seat is a bit hard and while the Vittoria Diamante Pro-Lite tires performa very well, they seem prone to quick ware and flats.

Bottom Line:
I couldn't be happier with this bike. It is the first really high end bike I have owned and I spent a lot of time researching and test riding bikes in this price range before making the decisoin to buy the F1. It is by far the best value and has at lease one characteristic that none of the other candidates had; sub 14lb weight combined with the performance of a Formula 1 race care!

Strengths:    Biggest strength is climbing. That's where I notice the major difference.
Beautifully made frame.

Weaknesses:    Paint scheme could be better.
Frame seems somewhat delicate...probably because the raw carbon weave is visible.

Bottom Line:
Felt make a gorgeous frame with clean fittings and lines. The stiffness and light weight are amazing. Average speed up some hills rose by 2 mph or more. Bike is a little twitchy compared to my heavier aluminum framed bike. Good shock absorption.

Bottom Line:
I replaced my Felt F5C that I had purchased in October last year with the F1. What a difference, while I enjoyed the F5C and found it to be an exceptional value the F! is amazing. The reason why I went with the F5C first was that on paper it seemed to offer close to the same performance as the F1, however, after riding the F1 I have found it to be in a different league. Faster on the straights and amazing up the hills, this bike is a joy to ride. HIGHLY recommended

Strengths:    Extremely light, very good road feel like on any Felt, geometry. Also I wanted to point out that Felt's claimed weight on their website is extremely accurate.

Weaknesses:    -Front end is so light it can feel twitchy on descents and sprints. Takes some getting used to.
-Comes stock with a 12(or 11?)-23 cassette which isn't optimal for climbing.
-Felt's compression plug is not the best out there. The plug needs to be tightened very well to ensure the headset stays snug.

Bottom Line:
I've owned this bike long enough now to be able to write a decent review about it.
The two best things about this bike are the weight and the road feel. I have never ridden a bike this fast and light and still felt so comfortable.
While climbing is always a challenge, the bike makes it helps tremendously and I've never felt so confident on climbs. On flat and open roads, the bike just surges forward and makes for a fast ride.
Half the time that I've owned the bike, I used the stock Mavic Cosmic Carbone Premium. The only reason I changed from those wheels is because I needed the cash at the time. The Ksyriums do lighten the bike about 200 grams but either way the bike is going to be under 15.5 lbs with pedals and cages. In my opinion, the stock Carbone are the better choice as they make up for the weight by being wicked fast on the flats.
Having ridden many other high end bikes, I am pleased to say that this is one of the best choices out there and that Slipstream are lucky to be riding such a great bike.

Strengths:    Light weight
Climbing and sprinting
Finish looks great

Weaknesses:    none at this point

Bottom Line:
I purchased A Felt F55 in 2006 to get back into road racing. The rear dropout broke on that bike. Felt was good about the warranty replacement and was going to provide a new F55 frame so I spent some additional cash and upgraded frames to the F1. This frame set is excellent. This is my first full carbon bike and the ride is great. It does reduce road noise but you don’t loose it all. It is a racing bike. The frame has neutral handling and is stable and tracks well through the tightest turns. It has a very stiff bottom bracket and so all energy is transmitted. Great for climbing in or out of the seat. Very light weight(the fork has a carbon steering tube and carbon drop outs) This is a true racing frame set that will perform to the level of the engine that will power it.
