With the unbeatable performance of a lightweight carbon fiber frame, built to exacting standards through Felt’s state-of-the-art monocoque construction technique, the F5 is equally adept at city limit sprints or long alpine climbs. Balancing a high level of stiff pedaling efficiency with precision handling in sprints, corners or twisting descents, it’s a versatile all-rounder for everyday performance.
Strengths: The 105 groupset is perfect and the frame is perfectly stiff giving good feel and response and the whole bike is "quite" and when combined with the geometry is a great a great all around bike! Felt & Roll's support.
Weaknesses: Wheelset - change for something similar to Neuvations makes all the difference and the seat is (for me) shaped wrong & too hard - put a Specialized Bio seat on.
Bottom Line:
Felt F5 is smooth, quite, and fast. New geometry is great! It is very stiff so it is easy to come out of the seat to climb hills and it climbs really well. You can ride it easy or hard and it just goes - ride short 20 miles jaunts or a century or hard group ride with the guys - it keeps up.
