at International Bicycl Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Boston Summary: The Mendota has a very light and solid fram that really puts the power down and the fork provides effective shock absorbtion. The SRAM X7 shifts fast and flawless and the avid BB5 brakes are easy to maintain and can still lock'em up. This bike can easily hit 25 mph from a stop in 1 city block and I keep up with traffic regularly with a full backpack stuffed in a milk crate tied to the rear rack. Strengths: Durable, light, fast, blends in the scenery and is less of a target for theft Weaknesses: The stock pedals are awful and the crank arms could be stiffer (I'm 6'3",230 lbs)if you ever like to stomp
Try M-324's and Deore LX, perfect upgrade
