Strengths:    weight, looks, geometry, handeling, did I mention it looks beautiful

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
I am not a super hard core roady however I have ridden many Tarmacs, TCR's and Madones. that being said this bike is by far the lightest mose comfortable bike Ive ever ridden.
I have owned my 2010 Defy composite 1 for a couple months now and have put about 300 miles on it. its pretty much ultegra/105 with DT Swiss 1700 Tricon wheels. I truley love this bike, and when I took it out of the box I was speachless, its about the sexiest bike Ive even seen!

New Giant Owner... 2014 Defy composite 1

I just bought the new 2014 defy composite 1. Walked in looking for the tcr, came out with the defy and couldn't be happier. The 11 speed ultegra is exceptionally smooth. And the frame rides much better than my 2006 felt f4. Looking forward to putting many miles on this bike. Great bang for the buck!Read More »

2012 Giant Defy Composite 1 - Detailed component specs

Hello, early 2013 I bought a 2012 Giant Defy Composite 1, with 10 speed Shimano Ultegra, 105 brakes, carbon frame. Happy with it. But I'd like to replace a bent derailer. First Road Bike Purchase - Scott Foil 40 or Giant Defy Composite 1?

Hi All! New to the forums here. Started cycling Jan 2011. Typical rides for me are 15 miles on a short day and on a long day I do about 30 miles. Due to traveling for work, I traditionally was only able to ride once, MAYBE twice a week, but for the past 2 weeks I've been riding 3 or 4 times a ... Read More »
