Strengths:    Ride quality. Stiff in all the right places, responding to inputs beautifully, yet giving enough comfort for rides of many hours duration. Overall presentation, finishing kit and DA 7900 complete a top package.

Weaknesses:    Not enough hours in the day to fully enjoy it!

Bottom Line:
This review is for the 2008 TCR advanced 0 with 7900 dura ace group(Australian Model). In the 6 weeks that I have had it, I have to say that it is just fantastic. Light years ahead of the alloy tcr's of a few years ago. This bike just rockets up hills, with no perceptible flex at all. The bottom bracket area is huge, and it certainly backs the look up with performance. ride quality is quite compliant on less than pefect surfaces, allowing more comfortable time in the saddle. The presentation of the bike is very good, being coupled with DA 7900 and Mavic SL's it looks great. I would recommend this bike to anyone who wants a responsive, light reliable machine that can be used for training or racing.

Strengths:    Excellent SRAm system, great fram, low vibration.

Weaknesses:    The price?

Bottom Line:
EXCELLENT RIDE, especially felt when the distances are longer than 40 miles. The lateral stiffness becomes very evident on fast hill descents with curves. The acceleration is great.

New Giant TCR Advanced 0

Just built myself a Giant TCR Advanced 0. This is one fast looking bike! Not quite stock: I installed my American Classic / Stans wheels instead of the stock Giant wheels (which seemed pretty nice, but my wheels are a little lighter and almost new, so I decided I'd continue to use them). I also ... Read More »

2010 used giant tcr advanced sl 0 (ISP) vs. new 2013 madone 4.5

I'm thinking about selling my current practically new madone (ultegra) as it is a bit big, and saw on craigs a 2010 giant tcr sl 0 equipped with sram red (older version) and mavic Kysrium SL wheels (older silver version). The bike is said to have 4500 miles as owner is getting out of cycling because ... Read More »

2013 TCR Advanced 0 - Downtube Rattle

Hi everyone, I'm on my second 2013 TCR Advanced 0 after returning the first due to excessive and incredibly distracting amplified rattling from the downtube. It is a minor nit to pick, but it is almost maddening hearing this road texture clatter. If I'm riding on anything other than perfectly ... Read More »
