Summary:
This is my first road bike - and its by far the nicest bike i've ever had. I did a lot of research before plunging and buying myself a new bike and I must say I'm very happy with my choice. First of all, nobody will beat the price - it was $399 on clearance plus $35 for delivery and another $65 for a full tune up and I was ready to go (if you are good and patient you can probably do the tune up yourself. Second, for an entry level rider its not worth bothering with all the components and weight, etc, because YOU WILL NOT TELL A DIFFERENCE. This bike is great, the price is great and it comes right to your door. You can still support your LBS by getting tuneups there...that way everyone is happy.

Strengths:
I find it to be a very fast bike, but then again, i'm new to road biking. I average about 17 mph on the pot-holes Boston streets. Also...I really like the yellow color. Ibex has great customer service

Weaknesses:
I guess its on the heavy side, although other bikes I've tried (like Trek Pilot and Specialized Allez) I really couldn't tell a difference. I'll probably get a carbon fork eventually (the bike comes with a steel fork). The other weakness is that you don't get to try it before buying it - but trust me, its great! Some assembly is required so if you don't feel up to it, just take it directly to the LBS and have them put it together...shouldn't be much more than a tune up. IBEX does have good communication and support if you need help. Lastly, the streets are bumpy and I'm already seeing my wheels go a little out of tune...oh well, i guess i'll have to learn how to true them.
