Strengths:    Front derailleur: Shimano 105 triple. Frame: K2 Mach road Plasma Type-O butted 7000-series aluminum. Rims: Ritchey Aero Pro aluminum.

Weaknesses:    Maintaining the front derailleur requires expert mechanical skills.

Bottom Line:
The K2 Mach 3.0 is an excellent bike, because the K2 Mach 3.0 glides on the city streets, has an aluminum frame, is light, fast and smooth, is a great improvement from my previous bikes, makes commuting to work and going to the store very fun, has superb Shimano 105 gears and Shimano Tiagra brakes, and is built solidly. The K2 has no problem surviving the rough handling at airports The K2 is trustworthy on my rides in urban areas: Los Angels and San Diego. Plus, the K2 3.0 is not totally high end which allows the owner to lock it up and leave without having to worry about it getting stolen.
