Strengths:    Handles great, Oval wheelset is a big improvement, light, comfortable

Weaknesses:    Minor amount of toe overlap

Bottom Line:
The 2016 RT1000 is a great value. The components are almost all Ultegra except for the crankset (Oval) and bottom bracket (Praxis), but this is not a complaint. The relaxed frame geometry allows a variety of riding positions. The frame is stiff without being harsh. Frame flex is not even noticeable (as it was on my previous carbon fiber bike). The stock wheelset, Oval 527, is actually pretty good and a big improvement from the heavier OEM wheels on previous models. I'm not a big fan of compact gearing so I replaced the 34 ring with a 36. Descending winding roads is a lot of fun on this bike. It holds a line well and isn't twitchy. Bottom bracket area is stiff. My previous CF frame was a bit flexy.
The paint finish, a satin gray, is great. It gives the bike a kind of retro industrial look.
Overall, I'd say this was a fantastic value.
