I am 6'3" and weigh 250. Enjoy longer, less congested rides with combination of hills and scenery. Ksano offered slightly longer wheelbase and 1300 grams of durable carbon for a relevant geometry.
I did not consider frames under 1300 grams in any material and strongly considered Ti. Riding friends convinced me to try carbon as a radical departure from the Cannondale R1000, which I found a bit stiff after 30 miles. Fatigue life for Ti is supposed to outperform carbon but I will worry about that 1,000s of miles from now.
The Ksano is well made and the Bottom Bracket and head tube areas are well reinforced. I have been told that the bonding joints at the dropouts and the Bottom bracket are designed to take tremendous pressure at both places. Some believe that no carbon bikes are made for long-term pressure riding. There are also no areas where the tubing is extremely thin - like the Kuota Khan and Kredo or Orbea Orca and Starship. Strengths:
Exotic sculpted naked carbon look for alittle over $2,000 with fork, headset, and carbon seatpost.
Eye catching and not common. Weaknesses:
Not common; very few dealers in the USA.
Not well stocked. Patrice at EUROSPEK is the importer had to get the frame from Europe but was extremely helpful in the process. Hopefully, Kuota products will become better known and ridden by teams and the public domestically.
Poor resale on ebay compared to the more expensive well know brands so be sure this is a bike you are going to ride for a while. Similar Products Used:
