Product Description

The natural evolution from the Leopard L1, Leopard Cycles introduces the CL1. Using external Carbon lugs on the primary frame triangle, while continuing to use the same main “structural web” tube shapes, the CL1 comes in 150 grams lighter, while keeping the great ride and handling characteristics of the L1.

  • all-new “aero” fork
  • The all carbon rear stays
  • 5 degree sloping top tube

Strengths:    It's light, smooth, responsive and very quick. Also, stealth paint (matte clear paint) with minimalist clear glossy decals show the carbon weave at its best - get lots of + comments.

Weaknesses:    None so far. Pretty much perfect and very easy to assemble right out of the special delivery box.

    Bottom Line:
I've had this bike for about six weeks. Shopped around a lot but kept going back to the pictures of the stealth bike online. Guys at leopard answers all my questions, worked with me on measurements, and made the online choice much easier to make. I live in the Northeast and its been a pretty cold November - hasn't stopped me from enjoying this bike to the fullest out in the elements and on the trainer.

Strengths:    Ride and rough road handling.Great value for the money.

    Bottom Line:
I've had this bike for a year and enjoy it very much.It rides comfortably and climbs really well but the best part is the smooth predictable handling on the downhills, especially on rough roads.

    Strengths:    quick acceleration.
stiff but gives a rather smooth ride in the rough stuff.
    Very light weight.
coolness factor of owning a Leopard in New England, everybody makes comments.
    Great climbing bike.

    Weaknesses:    None really

    Bottom Line:
I was a bit leary of the fit buying a bike online (I'm 6'3") But after a few emails with Leopard, they assured me the fit would be correct. They were right. All I had to do was put on the fron wheel and pedals and i was off riding. I think I had to make a few minor adjustments but that's it. Bike came with a handy re-usable travel box (which, I have already put to good use) Nice custom paint, the handlebars are super comfy too with that wide 'shelf' to grip when not in the hoods or drops. This bike has it all, 100% carbon, light, killer paint, a great climbing and cornering bike. Never a front end wobble. And for the money, you cant beat it. This is a 15.75 pound bike with full Ultegra. I'd recommend this bike to anyone thinking of purchasing a new ride.

Strengths:    In order of importance: cost, comfort, looks.

Weaknesses:    ???? none really; having to finalize the assembly if anything.

    Bottom Line:
I've ridden many different frames & the Leopard CL1 is by far the most comfortable & lightest frame I have ever ridden. In addition the custom paint job is beautiful and to look at the bike is to want to ride it. The frame comes almost completely assembled in the box and the setup was exactly the dimensions I emailed to the company.

Strengths:    Stiff, yet smooth-riding frame. Responsive handling in turns. Absolutely a head-turner!

Weaknesses:    I was a bit apprehensive about sizing/ording online, however, the fit of the bike is perfect.

    Bottom Line:
This is a great road bike. It is responsive and yet the carbon frame dampens the bumps on long rides. I'll be using it in road races in 2008. The bike's a looker, too. I get a lot of great comments at events.
