Price Paid:  $2000.00 at ebay

Model Year:
2007

Bike Setup:
Sram Red, Thomson post and stem, FSA RD200 bars, Fizik Arione CX saddle, DT RR1450 wheels, Conti GP4000S tyres.

Summary:
This is the best bike that I have ridden. Had a Sintesi made from deddacci 16.5 steel which was a great frame. The lynskey accelerates and climbs like this quality steel frame, stiff but with just a hint of spring that makes it feel alive. The ride quality however is something else, just enough give to never feel harsh, rough finished roads and holes seem to be dampened beautifully. Even better it does all of this while still transmitting enough feel from the road so that you feel connected to it. The handling is sublime, if a little on the quicker side. The slightest pressure on the bars sees it rail through corners. Yet is stable to ride no-handed. On top of all this at 1200 g (ML) it is light without being stupid. The shapes of the tube, welding and paint is stunning. Couldn't be more pleased.

Strengths:
Ride quality, finish

Weaknesses:
slight toe overlap, somthing that the R430 would overcome at it is 1 cm longer front/centre

Similar Products Used:
Giant TCR, Sintesi Pegaso, Guru Veloci'ti SL

Price Paid:  $4500.00 at Village CycleSport,

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Lynskey R420

Bike Setup:
Bontrager race lite wheels, headset, bars, Thompson silver seatpost,

Summary:
I have a Litespeed Blade from the Lynskey family so when I set out to get a new road bike I went to them first. This bike corners like it is on rails and when I first started riding it seemed the bike was like a good horse who wanted to run and knew how to do so well. This is my favorite bike hands down.

Strengths:
Climbing, Cornering, Acceleration, very nimble

Weaknesses:
The engine.

Price Paid:  $3500.00 at Bohemian Cycles

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
Lynskey R420

Bike Setup:
Campy Recod 2008 10Sp, Mavic Ksyriums, FSA bars, s/post and stem, Selle Itallia SMP saddle, and Look Keo carbon pedals.

Summary:
2007 Lynskey R420 Houseblend w/ Campy Record, FSA bars, stem, and seatpost. I've owned several L'speeds (both original Lynskey and ABG), carbon frames, custom aluminum and carbon. Anyone looking for a race level frame should start with Lynskey. The ride is exceptional. Not too stiff. I've raced this frame for one season and have been really pleased. Also, the Lynskey's are good to work with and stand behind their products much better than others I've dealt with in the past. After owning my Lynskey for about a year, I found a crack in the downtube. Contacted Lynskey about the problem and it was corrected quickly. No problems whatsoever. Exactly what you'd expect from someone willing to stand behind what they sell. First class!

Strengths:
Lightweight, stiff, but still a good ride. Welds are as good as it gets. Not the assembly line quality you get from the "new" litespeed.

Weaknesses:
A little "pricey" but not too expensive. They currently offer 10% on new purchases.

Similar Products Used:
Litespeed Ultimate, Vortex, Kuota Khan, Trek OCLV, Cyfac Custom, Blackwell Research, Cannondale, and Felt.
