Strengths:    ride & material strength

Weaknesses:    Carbon takes the win in the weight category. At 6'4" 205lbs the extra weight of Ti is minimal.

Bottom Line:
The guys at Lynskey get an A+ for customer satisfaction. After 150 miles on a lesser model the geometry was perfect but the ride above 35 mph was unstable. Lynskey gave me full credit for the 1st frame. After 2k miles on the Helix there is no question twisted square tubing makes all the difference. Have been on a few 50 mph descends without a skip. For my money ride quality (damp yet stiff) strength of Ti is my 1st choice for frame material.

Strengths:    This bikes just screams speed it just wants to go faster and faster just when you thought you've gone to your max this bike takes you to whole new level. If you feel like climbing fast it will climb with, descending no problem it will descend with the best of them. This bike will change you, it will make you feel like a little kid again just eager to ride it all day the ride is just very comfortable and the stiffness of this bike I just can't explain and very compliant I Was a big fan of carbon but this will definitely change you mind guaranteed.

Weaknesses:    NONE AND IF ANYBODY SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BIKE THEY ARE DEFINITELY LYING BECAUSE ONCE YOU HAVE THIS IT'S TRUE WHAT THEY SAY YOU WILL NEVER NEED ANOTHER BIKE PERIOD.

Bottom Line:
I don't even know where to begin with this bike, the picture alone doesn't do it any justice it is the most gorgeous thing I've seen hands down. I've been to a lot of bike shops this just basically stands out from the pack what makes them even more unique you won't see them on the often which makes it more of treat when you do run into one.

Strengths:    Extremely comfortable, fast, stiff only where it needs to be, looks very cool with the hand brushed finish, lynskey customer service great

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
I'm blessed, the frame was a birthday gift from my girlfriend. A friend had the helix mountain bike and raved about it, so after research I started counting the pennies. Little did I know it was already in the works. I can go on but, I rode 7 centuries last season, enough said.

Strengths:    The frame is very light and resists high torsion loads.

Weaknesses:    The price is not for faint of heart. If you want to buy the last bike ever; this is the one.

Bottom Line:
The day my new Lynskey Helix arrived I eagerly pulled the frame from the shipping container. The quality of the construction was immediately evident. The welds were the best I have ever seen on any metal frame bike. The photos on the website just do not do this frame justice. I was also very glad to have chosen the hand brushed finished with the etched graphics. The finish is impeccable and the etched graphics are subdued and elegant. The guys in the bike shop stopped and stared at the unique twisted Helix frame. The seat post was as equally impressive. The finish is identical and the carbon cradle design made the seat installation tricky but the angle adjustments a breeze.

The real proof came after the first couple of shakedown rides. Once the Helix fit perfectly I started to test its limits. I had previously tested other Ti frames that had so much flex the rear tire would rub the inside of the rear triangle under a heavy sprint. Keep in mind I weigh 225 pounds and can generate huge power numbers from a standing start. I started with caution on my newly built work of art. The choppy Tucson roads melted under the frame smoother than any carbon frame I have ridden. At the first stop light I jumped at the chance to press hard laterally on the Helix. I stood up and laid the bike over and really pressed into the pedals. The rear triangle did not seem to move one millimeter. As soft and supple as the frame rides on rough roads it is equally as impressive laterally. For all my trying I could not twist that rear triangle in the slightest. Next the hills arrived and I dropped a couple of rings and stood up again. Not a budge from the frame. My only complaint about this bike is it wills me to go faster than my legs are capable of. As I am not a Pro level rider or even a Cat 3 rider this bike is definitely faster than I am. I take that back I do have a second complaint: I don’t have enough time to ride! My new Helix is the most enjoyable bike I have ever been on.

Working in a bike shop that does not carry Lynskey got me a few jeers from co-workers; until they too experienced the expertise of the Helix. Now they are all asking how to order one too. I know I was a bit of a pain during the ordering process but Mike Viertel was gracious through the whole ordeal. My overall experience with Lynskey was just like all the other Testimonials, great.

Strengths:    Bomb proof, stiff, light, looks amazing, rides brilliantly, very easy to service/work on, just a great race bike thats still perfect for everyday riding as well

Weaknesses:    looks so good my partner made me get her one

Bottom Line:
Its my 3rd bike from lynskey, it started with a Level 4 custom then a TT custom and now a Helix. Being 6'7 90kg I always thought that to get a TI bike stiff enough it was gonna be heavy but thats really not the case, My Helix which i built to be reliable with no carbon anywhere still comes in at just over 17'5lb which for a massive bike that is still stiff and more than strong enough for my 90kg to race is very impressive
