Strengths: In one word? WOW.
This is not just a comfortable bike but it is surprisingly performance oriented. It is fast and stable.Weaknesses: None that this non-racer can think of.Bottom Line: I purchased this bike with the idea of doing weekend trips with panniers. I expected the stability but I didn't expect it to be a bullet. It is fast. It is comfortable. It is rock solid. I had the bike at 70 km/hr downhill and nary a shimmy, complete confidence. The setup is for easy riding under load but it rides so well that the carbon performance bike is starting to feel neglected. The fit and finish is fantastic. Beautiful.
I had some concerns about ordering an assembled bike over the internet but when I saw the careful attention Lynskey put into their packaging, I was blown away. Very impressed.
My sincerest thanks to Don Erwin for a great experience.
Don, I'll be calling when the time comes to replace the carbon bike.

Strengths: Quiet, smooth, light and efficient.Weaknesses: None.Bottom Line: This bike is a dream to ride, very smooth, and still gives efficient power throughput. So far I have put approximately 1000 miles on this bike in the last 3 months, including a century ride in Mt. Dora, FL where we averaged 20.5 mph over the 101 miles. My other bike is a Fuji SST 1.0 Carbon, and it seems like a rattle trap compared to the whisper quiet ride of the Sportive titanium. The Sportive has the Zipp 101 wheels, which complements the bike and ride perfectly. This is a great machine, and I highly recommend it to anyone. I can't believe that I was lucky enough to win this at 6 Gap in Georgia, however, I did buy 5 tickets...lol. I absolutely love this bike!

Strengths: Former Litespeed owners comment on how nice the "new" Lynskey is.Bottom Line: Ride is comfortable, bike handles well without being stiff. The shaped downtube probably has a lot to do with this, along with the titanium construction. Feels like a quick handling steel bike without the weight.

Strengths: Light weight.
Great looks.
Spectacularly comfortable.
Attention to details and manufacturing.Weaknesses: None.Bottom Line: With help from Mike Viertel of Lynskey's I was directed to Travis Evans of JRABS in Laytonsville, MD where I purchased my Sportive. Travis helped me select the finish and red lettering as well as all of the components: Shimano Dura-Ace compact and Ritchey components all the way with a Selle Italia saddle and custom 32 spoke wheels handmade by Travis. My target weight without pedals was 17 pounds. Travis brought her in at 16 pounds 1 ounce! I recently rode the Sportive for 325 miles on Bike Virginia where I was able to climb all of the demanding hills. She is a real comfortable climber and a flyer on flat rides. My Sportive is the best bike I have ever owned. Bar none!

Strengths: Excellent handling, compliant, nice welds, and great customer service. Jack and Don were very helpful via email and the phone. Shamrock cutouts in the drop outs.Weaknesses: Lynskey could use more dealers. The decals are a bit delicate. Shipped with a very short stem.Bottom Line: A very understated and elegant bicycle. My review will focus on the frame and fork since that's what Lynskey is all about.
I purchased the bike via Lynskey's website via their promo program--frame, fork, and components so there wasn't much customization available. Pre-sales service via Jack and Don was excellent and Don followed up with an email after I received the bike. The personal touch was nice.
The welds and finishing are excellent. There are one or two spots where the welds are a touch shy of aesthetic perfection, but still very, very good. That said, what sets this bike apart is the way it handles. It is very stable and very nimble at the same time. It goes where I point/push it but it never over reacts. It corners very nicely. It's not a crit bike, but it does handle corners and course corrections very nicely.
It's pretty flat where I live so I don't have a great sense of how it descends. I did do some short rides in central Ohio, which is hilly compared to where I live and the Sportive seemed to descend nicely. None of the descents were technical nor super fast, but the Sportive did seem stable and predictable.
The frame is stiff--I don't feel any BB flex, but it isn't jarring to ride nor does it deaden the road. It's a comfortable bike to ride, but doesn't completely isolate the rider from the road--you'll know what's going on below you.
The only thing I don't like is the way the Bontrager Race fork mates with the lower head tube. There is a bit of gap that looks a bit sloppy. The Bontrager to be made for an integrated headset and not for the traditional headset/head tube the Sportive has.
Favorite Ride: Any ride with friends
