Strengths:    It is light, looks great, and has held up beautifully to riding in a variety of locales and conditions.

Merlin has very good customer service.

Weaknesses:    I got a good buy (frame only). Retail is steep and I can't say Merlin is superior to Seven, or vice versa.

Bottom Line:
Beautiful. Comfortable. Light. Understated.

Sexy.

Timeless.

Favorite Ride:   Depends on where I am

Price Paid:    $750.00

Purchased At:   Ebay

Similar Products Used:   I am sure some will term this blasphemy, but its basic performance is similar to a Bianchi Virata I owned. Its light, fast, and comfortable. However it is not the lightest, fastest, or most comfortable. It is a great bike and a decent buy, but you need to know what you are getting. I love mine, just trying to be objective.

Bike Setup:   Chorus gruppo, Eurus wheels. Maxxis hors rubber (highly recommended), Thompsen post and stem. sella flite saddle, speedplay frogs (yes, frogs) pedals.
