Michelin Carbon tyres Summary: This bike rides like a dream. I was in the market for carbon but titanium was the way to go. Had it custom built by Omega here in the Uk. It accelerates like it's running on nitro, climbs like nithing I've ever experienced and is so light I it feels like I'm floating on air. The beauty of titanuim is that it stiff when and where stiffness is needed but soaks up the bumps in the road, giving the comfort of steel. The mix of carbon 6AL4V Ti and 3AL2.5V Ti works. I spoke with Mark at Omega who confirmed how intentional this was in offering stiffness and comfort together - genius. Omega are the little man in the world of Ti but I'm guessing not for long, their bikes are propelling the best on the domestic cycling scene to victory over and over. Litespeed, seven, serotta and merlin beware. Strengths: Stiff, comfortable and very fast. Exquisite build and custom built for no extra cost. Totally sorted, the tolerences on the bike are mind blowing - attention to detail is sublime Weaknesses: Slight creak when new - caused by carbon cranks, down to Campag not Omega. Even the stickers weren't an issue - my Alcheny has etched logo's - very nice Similar Products Used: On;u my old aluminiun road bike - nice bike but no comparison - now consigned to the turbo trainer.
