Price Paid:  $400.00 at eBay

Model Year:
2005

Favorite Ride:
Kestrel Talon SL

Bike Setup:
9sp. DA 54/39 w/Token Carbon BB, 12-25 D'Ace everything w/Zero Gravity 07 Ti's
Specialized Barmac Bars w/int Stem
Nokon Carbon Shift Cables
Nokon Brake Cables
Mavic Kry's SSC Thinking of putting Zipp 303's on though.
Specialized Zerts Post
Orbea Carbon Saddle

Summary:
Let me say upfront that I have the ORBEA Euskaltel Team Starship All Aluminum which is the same 6000 Series tubing but with the much cooler Euskaltel Paint scheme, yeah the same one that Iban Mayo and the rest of the Basque gang used in the mountains before they were given ORCA's. Got this Frame on eBay because . It is simply the most beautiful paint job in biking . . . all types of biking . . . period!

Built it up with D'Ace so it climbs like a goat. Got Mavic SSC so it spins and descends fairly well, but thrives and feels like the climbing specialist bike that it is. Kinda flexi for heavy riders, but this isn't for weekenders or even daily riders who live in flat midwestern or southeastern states.
It is scary light, were talkin Scott CR1 light! Therefore, it is bread for climbing, and not just Philly "The Wall" climbing, but Mt. Ventoux, Alp'Duez, ascending to Heaven climbing . . . leg breakers! It descends better than some carbon race frames I've ridden in the past was well.

Strengths:
Climbing, decending, Climbing, looks, weight, and climbing.

For what it is made for, it is 5-star all the way.

Weaknesses:
A little Flexi for 180+ to Clydesdale's but any LBS employee that would steer a 200+ rider to one of these should be fired anyways.

Orbea has Beautiful Klein Like Paint schemes that are very fragile because of the deep positioning of the Cable Housing routers on the headtube. But anybody riding one of these probably has the $ to get it professionally touched up every season anyway.

Narrow usage as this is nearly a climbing specif frame for stage races. The ORCA and even some of the cheaper Carbon Stays 7000 alum frames like the Lobular spin better on the flats and are better all rounders which is why it gets knocked down a chili.

Just about every model from every manufacturer but I have worked at 4 different bike shops in a very short while
