Price Paid:  $900.00

Model Year:
2007

Favorite Ride:
RAO course

Bike Setup:
Complete sram force build kit, easton wheels, FSA post, stem and bars. terry ti fly saddle.

Summary:
I had been eyeballin the RS2 frame online for a while. Looked great, great price, so I pulled the trigger and ordered one. I recieved the frame and fork via DHL in about 8 days with no issues. Packed very well. I ordered a complete sram force build kit through Colorado Cyclist for 1300.00 (Best deal out there. Check them out!!!) So I built a 16lb carbon bike for around 2300.00. If you want to go up hill like a frickin mountain goat buy this frame. Climbing is effortless. decends great, tracks well on high speed decents.I didnt find any twitchyness , I would say it is very responsive but stable. this bike is very comfy as well. Have done several rides of 150 miles or more and it is great all day.

Strengths:
light, awesome climber. great bargain, very compliant, looks great.

Weaknesses:
none thus far

Similar Products Used:
specialized roubaix

Price Paid:  $700.00 at Ebay

Favorite Ride:
Prather, CA

Bike Setup:
Ultegra Derailleurs and Shifters, FSA Compact Carbon Crankset, Fizik Saddle, SRAM Brakeset, Neuvation Wheelset, FSA Bars and Stem.

Summary:
Overall I am well pleased with the riding quality and performance. The bike climbs fantastic and is stiff in sprints. It did take a little learning curve getting used to the twitchiness of the frame on the downhill and turns compared to my KHS. Some of the twitchiness was I used a longer stem with the KHS. Overall I am pleased with the bike.

Strengths:
Good climber, still yet comfortable for longer rides. Lightweight. Good geometry. I am 6'2" and use a 58cm - fits well.

Weaknesses:
The only improvement I would recommend would be to angle the rear dropouts slightly as it can be difficult to drop the back wheel as the quick-release hits the rear derailleur when removing the wheel. Takes a little extra time to get the wheel out and line it back up.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Web Group Buy

Favorite Ride:
Southwest

Bike Setup:
Campagnolo square-taper 53/39 chorus crank with ceramic bearing Token bottom bracket, 13-26 chorus cassette, chorus derailleurs, ergo, mavic chain, mavic ssc brakes, record headset, chorus pedals, Ritchie wcs classic bars, PF seat post, specialized toupe gel saddle, Easton ec90sl fork, ROL race sl wheels, conti 4000s tires.

Summary:
This is one smooth riding bike. I bought the frame last summer through the group buy. I built it up with sq-taper carbon chorus. I ride recreationally and for working out. Our roads south of Dallas, Texas where I ride are lots of chip and seal. No problem. This is my first carbon bike and it has me sold. I love the looks. It is stealth black bare carbon - no decals except a PF on the headtube. It is super quiet, great handling, and light weight (about 16 lbs. estimate - it's real light). I did not know I could accelerate, but I can on this bike. Climbing is easier. It has a sort of retro look to it.

Strengths:
Light weight, stable, comfortable. The Pedal Force people are real good to deal with, too.

Weaknesses:
none, yet

Similar Products Used:
None - first carbon frame.

Price Paid:  $550.00 at Pedal Force website

Favorite Ride:
Tailwinds

Bike Setup:
Pedal Force frame and fork, SRAM Force group, Easton EA90 SL wheelset, FSA bars, aluminum, Truvativ stem, Selle Italia saddle

Summary:
I bought the frame and fork as part of a group buy. Buying products sight unseen is a bit of a risk, but the group buy allowed to to pick up a full SRAM Force group for a song. It works out if you know what you need size wise.

To the bike. It's fast, light, and tough. My size 52 built up to under 16 pounds without any particular effort on my part to look for uber light parts. I'm a 200 pound rider and I haven't discerned any flexing in either the frame or the Easton EA90 SL wheelset. The bike is comfortable on my crappy MI roads, which is high praise. This bike doesn't beat me up and allows me to ride as long as I like.

Strengths:
Great frame for price, looks like a much more expensive bike, light and comfortable ride. Lots of people will stop to check it out. Great climber. It would be difficult to get this much bike at this price point anywhere else.

Weaknesses:
Delivery took longer than expected, might have been a group buy issue. Handling is a touch snappier than I like, not a bike to be ridden with hands off the bars, at least not by me.

Similar Products Used:
Last bike was a Cannondale R500 rattle trap. Good riddance.
